February 2026 Newsletter

As we begin the new year, we extend our heartfelt greetings with the blessing from Numbers 6. We pray that the Lord will bless you, walk with you in grace and mercy, and fill your days with His peace. It continues to be a great encouragement to witness the faithfulness of God together with you as He carries out His work in Cambodia. With grateful hearts, we would like to share an update from HIS Child (NGO), through whom God is actively at work in relief and mission.

Mobile Drop-in Center

As Phnom Penh develops rapidly through urban expansion and high-rise construction, many slum communities are being pushed to the outskirts of the city—under bridges or into low-lying areas along the river. Children living in these environments are exposed to waste, disease, and constant danger. Many are forced to beg or collect rubbish to survive, leaving them without access to education.

  • Please pray that God would protect these children and provide all they need for care, safety, and learning.

  • May they hold on to hope and dreams, and move forward into the future rooted in the love of Jesus.

  • We also ask for prayer for HIS staff serving on the streets. Even when their work seems to bear little visible fruit, may they remain faithful instruments of God, sharing the gospel through small but powerful acts of love.

Children Center

Children who have been permanently separated from their families and orphans entrusted by the government live in a safe and nurturing environment. They receive balanced meals, attend public school, and grow together through daily family worship. This is more than a place of protection it is a place of hope, where children discover their dreams, experience love and care, and grow as God’s children while preparing for the future.

  • Please pray for healing of their wounds, restoration of their self-worth, and strength in body and spirit.

  • May they be reminded each day that they are precious in God’s sight. May God raise up caring hands to provide for their needs and help them grow in faith and wisdom.

  • We also pray that young people would discover their God-given value, find healing and guidance through wise mentors and community, and courageously prepare for their future.

When we care together, a child’s future is transformed.

For children who struggle to access even basic meals and education, your support becomes the presence of a spiritual parent. A small, consistent gift gives them stability today and hope for tomorrow.

  • $10 per month - Helps protect and support one street or slum child for a day

  • $30 per month - Provides a safe and stable life for a child at a Children Center

  • $240 per year - Supports one vocational student in gaining skills for independence

  • $600 per year - Covers one university student’s annual tuition, sustaining education and future opportunities

At times, the Mobile Drop-in Center ministry may seem discouraging. Poverty and lack of education often appear to repeat from one generation to the next, and visible change can be difficult to see. Yet we place our hope in God-the One who brings growth and gathers the harvest and continue to step forward in faith for the sake of each precious life.

The struggles faced by young people are universal. Anxiety about the future, questions of identity, and deep loneliness often surface during these years. We pray that they would encounter God personally, find their foundation in His love, and grow into a community that entrusts their lives to His leading.
