Takhmao Doulos Church
We are thankful to witness Doulos Church in Takhmao being firmly established on the Word of God, especially as we begin ministry this year alongside a local pastor. We kindly ask for your continued prayers so that the members of Doulos Church may stand firm in their faith, unwavering in the face of any temptation or trial. Cambodia is now in the midst of its rainy season. Doulos Church, located in Takhmao, stands on low-lying ground and occupies an older building, which makes it especially vulnerable to flooding during this time of year. We would deeply appreciate your prayers for the church’s protection throughout the rainy season, so that the sanctuary remains safe and worship services can continue without disruption due to flooding.
kambongtre Doulos Church
Earlier this year, the building of Doulos Church in Kampong Tralach was unfortunately demolished due to the construction of the Funan Canal. At present, the adult congregation gathers for worship in a temporary shelter built on a remaining portion of land, while the children attend Sunday School in the yard of a church member’s home located in front of the former church site. We kindly ask for your prayers that the members of Doulos Church in Kampong Tralach would no longer be scattered and that a dedicated place of worship may be provided where they can gather freely and wholeheartedly to praise God. Please also pray that the rebuilding of the church would proceed smoothly and in alignment with God’s will, and that the Lord’s guidance would be upon every step of the process.
Short-term Team Ministry
In June, a medical mission team from Singapore visited the regions of Takhmao and Kambongtre, serving both church members and local residents with heartfelt care. In Kambongtre—where the church building had been demolished—the team set up tents in an open field to conduct medical services. Despite heavy afternoon rains that turned the area into a muddy field, the team continued to serve with love and dedication, tending to the needs of the people who waited patiently in the rain. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the medical team for their compassionate service. Please join us in prayer that through this meaningful partnership, the love of Jesus Christ would be powerfully shared in Kampong Tralach and surrounding villages, bearing lasting fruit for the Gospel.
Evangelism Ministry
Local evangelists continue to visit various villages each week to share the Gospel. In particular, they are using teaching materials prepared by a local pastor to teach Khmer alphabets to children and villagers—naturally weaving the message of the Gospel into these lessons. Please join us in praying that through the devoted service of these evangelists, the Word of God would spread widely and take root in every village.
Saturday Village Children’s Ministry
Since April, Mrs. Sreymau, the wife of a local pastor, has been faithfully serving alongside us in the Saturday children’s gathering. We are deeply grateful for her valuable partnership. Please pray that through this ministry, the children in the surrounding school communities may come to know Jesus personally. We also ask for your prayers that all those serving in this ministry would be filled with wisdom as they carry out their work.
